Typically, JScript doesn't support the ECMAscript standards as well as Javascript does.

While modern browsers all support event Listeners in Javascript, Internet Explorer goes its own way and uses its own proprietary method of achieving the same thing. In this twentieth DOM tutorial we look at Internet Explorer's attachEvent method.
